Firstly as we approach the latter months of the season we would like to take the opportunity to thank all clubs, players, mentors & supporters for their efforts & endeavours throughout 2023.

We'd also like to thank all the PRO's of our clubs and those working in the media for their ongoing promotion & reporting of our games.

We would like to remind all clubs & its members that all official information shared by the Board is done so using:

- The Carrigdhoun GAA Website.

- Official GAA Email addresses.

- Our Twitter page @carrigdhoungaa

In recent months we've noticed social media pages operating under names & images that could be seen or misunderstood as being official Carrigdhoun reportings. While these pages reposted official & factual information directly from our official channels (which we openly encourage) it also included individually opinionated items such as regular "power ranking" of teams and a selection of player & teams of the year which is something the South East do not acknowledge nor award. As a Board it is our duty that all clubs & players are treated equally and the only rankings we recognise are those of our league & championship tables.

At meetings of the Board during the season we expressed that while individuals have the right to share opinions on social media channels they do not have the right to do so under the imaging & names relating directing to Carrigdhoun/South East GAA. Going forward we as a Board will be taking the relevant action to stop any social media channel operating using our name & imaging.

Our club delegates have been informed of this at various meeting during 2023 and now I'd like to take the opportunity to relay this to the clubs & supporters within the Division. If there are any questions or queries in relation to this please feel free to contact me & I'll be happy to help.
